DAILY WEATHER REPORT FOR KARNATAKA STATE:DATE: TUESDAY, the 03rd SEPTEMBER 2024̤ Time of issue: 1200 Hrs IST

SYNOPTIC METEOROLOGICAL FEATURE:
• The Well marked low pressure area over central parts of Vidarbha & neighbourhood now lies as a low pressure area over west Vidarbha & neighbourhood with associated cyclonic circulation extends upto 3.1 km above mean sea level.
• The Monsoon trough at mean sea level now passes through Jaisalmer, Udaipur, centre of low pressure area over west Vidarbha & neighbourhood, Ramagundam, Kalingapatnam and thence southeastwards to eastcentral Bay of Bengal.
• The shear zone now runs roughly along 20°N over north Peninsular India at 3.1 km above mean sea level.
• A cyclonic circulation lies over Saurashtra & neighbourhood between 4.5 km & 7.6 km above mean sea level tilting southwards with height.
• A cyclonic circulation lies over Coastal Andhra Pradesh & Yanam & neighbourhood between 3.1 km & 5.8 km above mean sea level.
• The off-shore trough at mean sea level along south Gujarat to north Kerala coast has become less marked.

FORECAST & RAINFALL WARNING FOR KARNATAKA

Day 1 (03.09.2024):
• Isolated heavy rain very likely to occur over Uttara Kannada, Dakshina Kannada, Kalaburgi, Bidar, Shivamogga, Chikkamagaluru districts.
• Light to moderate rain very likely to occur at most places over the remaining districts of Coastal Karnataka and at a few places over the remaining districts of Interior Karnataka.

Day 2 (04.09.2024):
• Isolated heavy rain very likely to occur over Uttara Kannada, Udupi, Dakshina Kannada districts.
• Light to moderate rain very likely to occur at isolated places over the districts of Interior Karnataka.
